TampaRaces.com - X-Country Marathon, 1/2 Marathon & 5K Trail Runs
The runs took place at Alafia River State Park. Alafia is one of Florida's newest parks, but it has some the best trails. With over 13,000 acres including camping facilities, the park is a diamond in the rough. Alafia is located in SE Hillsborough County.

ST. PETERSBURG - Alma Pertee, 53, has been through a lot in her years - drug offenses, begging for money, solicitation.
It's never too late to turn your life around - Alma is now in the process of opening up a food pantry in St Petersburg called "Here to Help Mission." She is working towards this goal while also working at ASAP, a group dedicated to helping people off the streets.

ST PETERSBURG - I shot Mr LeRoy at the 2006 St Pete Airfest at Albert Whitted Airfield. He was an amazing pilot and a pleasure to watch.

Pilot Jim LeRoy of Billings, Montana, died on the way to the hospital after his S2S Bulldog biplane crashed at the end of a runway at Dayton International Airport in Ohio today.
The plane was one of two making loop-the-loops with smoke trailing as part of Dayton's annual air show. It slammed into the runway across a field from spectators and caught fire.
"It came down and didn't have enough room" said Aaron Smith, who was watching with his 5-year-old son. "I could hear it crunch, hard. Some pieces came off."

1st annual america's second harvest fork fight
Photographs from the 1st Annual Fork Fight, benefiting America's Second Harvest of Tampa Bay, are shown below. There are many more on jwilliamphoto, so be sure not to miss those.
The event raised a fairly large amount of money, which will be used solely in the Tampa Bay area to fight hunger. It was a great event and I'm very happy that I was a part of it.

Through combined efforts with over 300 partner charities and churches, America’s Second Harvest of Tampa Bay currently distributes enough food in a single week to provide over 50,000 meals.
